Rehearsal Schedule
Please check back weekly for an updated schedule.
I hope everyone had a fabulous spring break! As we resume rehearsals again, please note a few things:
Let's stay focused and we will have a fun and productive rehearsal process!
3 week countdown!
- As we begin to piece together all the scenes we have been working on and adding transitions, the number of students at rehearsal will increase. There will also be times when you will be waiting offstage during a scene you are not in. Please bring you patience and best behavior with you to every rehearsal! Disruptive behavior will result in a student being asked to leave for the day.
- Please always have something you can work on quietly if you are not onstage. Great examples: homework, studying your lines for the show, quietly going to the corner of the gym to rehearse a dance for the show with a buddy, reading, coloring, being a good audience member and watching and encouraging your friends who are working onstage at the time, etc.
- Rehearsal are starting to become longer as we get closer to the show. You are welcome to bring a snack with you to munch on. HOWEVER, remember these rules three: 1. Clean up after yourself, 2. Only water to drink, 3. No eating while you are in the act of rehearsing onstage.
- Please do not ever leave the rehearsal area for any reason without letting Mrs. Ferree know.
- We all should now be off-book! A person will be designated each rehearsal to cue anyone who forgot a line. If you are in the middle of a scene and your mind blanks on what you are supposed to say next, just say, "Line!"
- We will be adding in more and more props into our scenes. ALWAYS remember: you are not welcome to touch a prop that is not yours. I repeat: YOU ARE NOT WELCOME TO TOUCH A PROP THAT IS NOT YOURS.
- I completely understand that students need their phone on hand if a parent needs to get a hold of them after school. It is okay for you to have your phone nearby for this purpose. Phones should not be out for any other reason. No pictures or videos are to be taken of the rehearsal process.
Let's stay focused and we will have a fun and productive rehearsal process!
3 week countdown!
***PLEASE REMEMBER: These next two weeks of rehearsal are MANDATORY rehearsals, as stated in the audition packet.
Make EVERY EFFORT to be present at all rehearsals. During the next two weeks we will gradually be adding props, set pieces, costumes, and microphone changes. Every new element added to bring our show to life also brings a new challenge to us as a cast. Please remember that your fellow cast members are relying on you and that it takes every single person to make this show a success.
Thank you all for your hard work! I have had so much joy in working with each and every one of you!
